The DeStash Diaries, Vol. 28—Blogiversary Bird Love!

As you know, I’m a birder, so our bird-themed Blogiversary is a lot of fun for me. For this week’s DeStash Diaries I thought I’d repurpose some of my posts that featured birds in some way, as well as ask you kindly to share your bird-theme projects with us in our Bird Love! pool on flickr. Pretty please! I’d love to see them.
Not so long ago, I posted this great little photo of vintage fabric wherein I confessed a past eBay obsession. If you read that post initially, you’ve probably figured out what the cool promotion was…something happening this month….yes, you’ve got it.
Back in the fall, I talked about Tina Given’s fab book, Sew Tina! The cover shot has a garment made from her fabric that has lovely la-di-da birds printed all over it.
Here’s a post that is absolutely aflutter with birdness, in which I play with a few of Sandy Stone’s techniques from Fabric Remix.
We’ve been gifting you with bird-related projects for the past few weeks, too. Here’s a Tina Givens owl and a cool quilt block from Trice Boerens, author of 45 Quilt Blocks: Animals. Of course there’s also our Aimee Ray Doodle Stitch-Along if you need more fun in your life. Go put a bird on something today, please! Fly well and often.
