Moda
July 07, 2010, 10:33 am Posted by needleartsJust incredibly moved this morning by the work of photographer Jessica Hilltout. I saw her work on balls in the July 1st issue of the New York Times. Just a fantastic collection of photographs of balls made by children throughout Africa.
I decided I needed to find out more about her and so explored her website, where I was again inspired by her approach to her work and the incredible amount of beauty and respect present in it. Here are a few images from a series she did called “Moda”…part of a project entitled “Imperfection”, a culmination of her travels in Madagascar. “Moda” consists of images of Malagasy garments. A few of which follow:
