Enter me in! I’m currently, well trying to finish of a ripple crochet blanket before I start some cushion covers but it’s been far, far too warm to sit under a blanket and crochet it!

I love doing small crochet projects in the summertime!  This book looks awesome :-)

I’m one of those people that crochets year round for all types of projects.  I don’t usually make special summer things in the summer, but I try to avoid assembling large blankets in the summer (unless I’m sitting in an air conditioned room).  I love making hats and motifs year round, and I think Crochet Garden would give me some great appliques ideas to add to my projects.  Thanks for the giveaway!

I hear you! I’m a quilter: no fun to be stuck working under a heavy blanket when it’s hot outside!

  • Beezus

I’m still in the beginnings of my crochet journey, so I’d love a chance to branch out into something like this!  :)

I am creating my own pattern for a circle shrug. :-)   Other  WIP’s – baby blanket (2) and assorted fingerless gloves/head warmer sets to sell later in the year.

I’m a total crochet beginner, but love the calming nature of it…..my mother is determined I will eventually get it and since she was right about that with sewing, I’m going to keep the faith! :) As for flowers….love Stock, Freesia and Calla Lillie. Being part of a family of a florist, I get to enjoy them year round too! Thanks for the fun!

I am trying to be really good and finish a shawl for my aunt. It’s really a remake. She loved the first version but wanted more coverage for her arms, so I’m making several rows with no end increases (in other words, it won’t exactly be triangular). I’m in the final 10 rows or so, which means it’s going slow.

wildflowers are my favorites. toddler sweaters for two great-grand boys are on the schedule.

I just designed a great octopus pattern, and I’m trying to decide what I want to embroider it on! As far as crochet, I’m working on a pair of mittens for this winter! My favorite flower is the Calla Lily. :)

Hi to all from Zagreb, Croatia! I know that being where I am from in the world I can’t really enter to win this wonderful prize (sob!) but let me tell you about my “hooky plans” for this summer anyway. Well, for starters a bunch of crochet stone fish that might become necklaces, various other summery necklaces, a UFO granny square bag for my favourite reads in English this summer and a whole lot of matchbox houses with crochet dolls/ tooth faries inside. And of course whatever else I feel like making in between projects (it would be wise to start thinking Christmas, don’t you think?)
As for my favourite flower, I fell in love with daffodils of the crochet kind this spring and made a whole bunch for my friends and family. The smallest ones went into a nice Easter garland for me.

Wishing the lucky winner many blissful crochet hours,
    Andreja

Currently I am working on my 2nd pair of patriotic socks (yes, they are crocheted & 2 different patterns). I have a pillow and afghan set that I have planned for this summer along with starting on my Christmas projects. Also have a tote that I am also hoping to finish up. And I have plans to make a tablecloth (this is going to be my 1st tablecloth). Also have more socks to crochet (going to use a multi-color that has pink, yellow, & red in it for the next pair)

It had been years since I crocheted, but I recently took it up again. :-)  Right now I’m just making dishcloths to practice stitches.  I think I’m remembering fast, though.  Maybe crochet is like riding a bike…you never really forget how.
