Lark Crafts

I am not a big fan of FB, but I use it to track my calligraphy friends postings on their art!

Art can and does change the world, how we see each other, what we are feeling and 2011′s digital world makes it just so much richer, easier and faster to feel motivated and be inspired. It’s great to feel connected to other artists. To feel challenged and stretch. To read feedback from peers. And to get to know our buyers, collectors, customers, clients in such a positive way that they just keep coming back for more and I don’t have to look for “a real job!”

On my gosh! I would so love to win these books! I’m actually kind of new at using social media. I’ve found it helps me when my creativity gets stuck. I can look for new ideas, contact a friend for some inspiration, or just surf and see what I might find. It gives you another point of view, other input, another source. Thanks so much for letting me hope I might win your wonderful book titles. They are indeed a source of creative inspiration and a source for new ideas!

I love the photography and the quality of paper in the Lark books. For facebook, I like seeing beaded pieces for color and design inspiration.

The insider tips and tricks are invaluable information to have at your finger tips! Thanks Lark for these great books, I am looking forward to the upcoming issues from my favorite beaders! I would love to have this 14 book collection! Any I have that are duplicated would be gifted to other beading friends!

I pre-ordered Sherry Serafini’s Sensational Bead Embroidery and received it a couple of weeks ago. My sister-in-law was in a bead store in Palm Beach and bought me one as a surprise. I gave back to my sister-in-law Sherry’s book she bought for me and now I think we just might have a new bead artist. Nice how things work out, thanks Lark for publishing the books you do.

Oh I would love me some more books for my Lark collection. In my household we have a glass fuser, and I am a metalsmith/potter. Love, love, love your books. I think the FB page is pretty good, but it would be fun to be able to see some pages from books that might not be in our local bookstore. I find I buy books much more readily if I can see a preview of them

Love Lark books and have my own collection started. Was just reading 500 earrings last night!

I have a large library of jewelery books and more often than not, I turn to my Lark books first.

I think the new website is great! so…. a brief on FB, Twitter, about new postings AND old ones with a link to get there. Love the interviews with authors, info about the books, free projects. There is soooo much on the website, that you need to keep coming back. so use the “socials” as a reminder of the sweet-treats there.

I have always wanted to be a published author and have been working on ideas for an instructional book. I would like to see on your facebook page information about how to submit ideas for consideration. I get so much inspiration from all the creative folks out there!

Whata great selection of books! Anybody would be lucky to own such a great collection! Facebook, I use it to post pictures of all my creations so I can get input from family and friends instead of e-mailing them and then waiting for answers.Instant answers sometimes. Sometimes I’ll post directly to a friend’s wall wih something I made for them, that way if they want me to change something I can before I send it off.

Great way to keep up with friend that live far away.

How can one ever have too many Lark books! Totally impossible. There will never be too many on my shelf. If it fills up, I just have to buy another book shelf. Keep them coming!

The Lark Books are my favorite inspiration sources. Each book offers a variety of styles, techniques and unique design approaches to the topic. I also like using them to collect autographs from the actual artists when I take their workshops. Using social media to connect with other artists has been invaluable, on Facebook or Twitter.

Love the books for inspiration and instruction. Love the site for the same reasons. Love Facebook as a way to connect with friends, communicate and be communicated to. Several Lark titles already live at our house, and I am always interested in what Lark is up to next.

I love the 500 series books in all media. They are great inspiration when the creativity muses are hiding out. I use fb to keep up with what other artists are up to. I use it as my home page and start each day looking through to see what folks are thinking about – whether it’s art, politics, news, or personal issues.

I’m very happy to “Like” you on FB and add my comment re the content on Facebook: I live in semi-rural Canada, and although I fortunately have a good bead store about 25 miles away, not that many stores carry a range of beading books anymore, nor does the bookstore here seem to understand what a “good” beading book is (I am not interested in beginner books or rehashes of last year’s magazines). That forces me to take my business elsewhere, so I purchase online and it’s difficult to get a good source of the newest and greatest. If you intend to list the newest books, I’m so in! I’d also love some designer input including new techniques, designs and tips. A free design every now and again would certainly not go amiss either!

I love Lark Books. My friends and I are always saying they are the better written books with great images and instructions. To 14 of them would be the frosting on a cake for me! Too cool.

I just checked out your FB page. I like it a lot. I endded up getting distracted and reading a few articles.

I still find Facebook difficult to navigate… after years of using it! Your website is fantastic though and I like the new look!

I mostly use FB to give updates on my Etsy shop and things going on in my studio. Often I will publish things through Twitter to post on my personal FB page which helps with keeping up with things. Have not explored too much else yet. There seems to be a lot of options popping up with Social Media Networking in the last few months…

As a bead artist I own a number of beading books, but none of the ones in the giveaway. I’m always interested in new ways to further my knowledge of beading and incorporating other things with my beads. More resources mean more inspiration!

Oh wow, the giveaway is a great idea… I’d love to share the books as inspiration to my students during my Metal Clay jewelry classes. Inspiration is everywhere. I have a select number of lark 500 series books and a few how to, but would love to add as much inspiration as possible.

Lark books have always been some of my favorite books.

One thing about facebook – if an entity (other than a person) posts too often, then I find it irritating instead of interesting. Just a thought.

I do look at this blog fairly often and love the links to other things that I might like.

To win any of the books would be fabulous! Facebook is great for keeping people posted on your site’s current info. I prefer to brows the newsfeed on facebook, it is much easier that having to check email updates! And I just recently found your page through the “favorite pages” of another site I liked. Wow, these books could really help me. I just started to get into jewelery making. As for social media I don’t care to much for Facebook to intimidating, so much information from to many places all the time, and for Twitter, I’m not the type to be constantly sending or receiving those little messages. I love the variety of books you publish…they serve as inspiration for new ways in which to use materials…would love to see a book on how to combine copper, brass, bronze and nickel or german silver in pieces of jewelry…cost of silver and gold has gone so high that we need a way to utilize our artistic visions in other metals but there are so many questions as to how to solder these materials which each has its own color…and to do so without obvious solder joins showing…thanks…also, would love to be a winner of this fantastic library…Pat Klein

Ooh, lovely giveaway, thank you for the chance. As far as social networking goes, I’m not so excited by it– and to tell you the truth, I am an old-fashioned, dinosaur-type who sees a distinction between the social use of social networking sites and the commercial use of social tools, and I don’t really like seeing them blurred. As I am fighting an uphill battle, I am sure I will end up liking FB pages that act like blogs (in other words, offer tutorials and interviews and links, plus pools for people to post pictures of their projects).

i love how- to books! i have taught myself to knit, embroider, lampwork and make jewelry through books. i am a lefty so that is one of the reasons i use books to learn. it would be so exciting to win all these books!! i enter contests all the time but never much luck in winning them. i am a FB fan, and would love to see more left-handed tutorials!

I use my blog and, to a lesser extent, Facebook and Twitter to connect and network with others. I love that the world is literally at my fingertips! I’ve found the forums at Beadingdaily.com and deviantart.com to also be great online venues for connecting with other jewelry artists. I would love to see more of these outlets featured here.
