Your books are so much fun, and very inspiring!  I make jewelry…it is my passion.  Anything that gets my creative juices flowing is welcome in my hands, and your books can do just that.  For me, making jewelry is about transforming one thing into something else that then speaks to a wearer and a beholder. What fun to be able to speak that language!

  • http://www.rebeccaroush.com R Roush

Sometimes I can come up for ideas for jewelery on my own. When I need help, I turn to the work of others to inspire me. Lark Crafts books are some of the best inspiration I’ve found.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1607316145 Donna Craig

  • http://www.thebadliz.blogspot.com Liz Thompson

What I love about making and weatring jewelry – the looks on people when you say “Thank you, it’s one of my designs” – that’s the moment that I love.  Winning books?  A great way to morph what I know into something that I didn’t know I could do that!!

  • Amy

I love to wear & make jewelry….each piece has a story..

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=511053528 Tonee Hoage Whitfield

I have been a silversmith and amateur jeweler for some time, but what I like best about jewelry is making it.  I love the focus that derives from inspiration and I get inspired by the oddest things.  I have a hard time selling it, because my main goal is the creation, not the sale.  I end up with loads of jewelry to switch out and always get tons of compliments, then I am off after the next inspiration!  I gift a lot of it as well and its gratifying to see someone’s eyes light up at an unexpected bit of sparkle and shine.  I would love to win the books (as books are another passion of mine, fiction, non fiction and learning).  Another fabulous source of inspiration and creative thinking!

  • Francesca

Wow – jewelry making is my meditative time, when I can get quiet and set aside all distractions. I would LOVE to have all these books – they represent years of potential studio time and although I’ve read through several of them in the studios of friends, I don’t own a single one of them!

  • Nancy Duke

Wow, this is such a great collection! I like to make my  own jewelry because I can use things that I love. And books are such an inspiration to me! There are so many new techniques that I would love to try.

  • Staceylhaq

I love your books….my best resources are your books!

  • http://www.facebook.com/sandy.spivey2 Sandy Spivey

I love creating my own jewelry because it is a fun way to channel my creative thoughts as well as sparking conversation everywhere I wear it. I like all different mediums for creating my jewelry, such as beading, wirework, micromacrame, metalsmithing, metal artclay, polymer clay and on and on.  Winning this set of books would give me a fabulous Library to expand my creative processes with!  This is an awesome opportunity!  Thank you Lark Books!
    Sandy Spivey

  • Sandra Sweeney

Oh, wow, I would probably faint dead away with that many idea books. I love making jewelry and having jewelry books because it makes my right brain happy happy to have pretty pretty things around me and keeps my cheap cheap left brain quieter than if I try to buy pieces from a true artist.

  • Janet Bocciardi

Although I have many of these, I’m always looking for new ones to add to my library.  Your books are fabulous!  This is going to make someone a very happy holiday!

  • Lisa

  • http://www.jewelrytales.com Cynthia

Making jewelry is meditative for me – it calms me down and lifts me up. Plus, I love pretty shiny things, so beads make me happy! As do books. Lots and lots of books . . . like these.

  • Emiky C.

I love jewelry! I particularly love the filigree rings, with a jewel on top.

  • Sarah (Saturday Sequins)

I love jewelry making and love love love your books !!!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621844210 Jenny Bennett-Baughman

Making jewelry is more than just creating something to wear. It is learning how to talk to the materials, how to create space and movement where there once was nothing. It’s a never ending process of learning; melting, molding, twisting, hammering. Most of all it’s about sharing with others.

  • Theholebeadshop

I adore the authors and books published by Lark. What makes me want these books? I just gave most of mine away on our blog!

  • Maria Johnson

Wow!  That is a great collection of books for anyone who loves making jewelry.  Thanks for hosting the giveaway!  :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=621844210 Jenny Bennett-Baughman

I could certainly use a few of those in my library.  I like the creative inspiration I get from looking at these kinds of books.  The imagination is a wonderful thing!  When I get a good idea, and then see it come to life – amazing!

  • http://www.beading-arts.com Cyndi

What I like best about making jewelry is learning new techniques!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jayne-LeRette/1108947674 Jayne LeRette

This is a most generous prize! These would be priceless in enhancing skills and creativity!

  • http://www.facebook.com/KevanRuppLunney Kevan Rupp Lunney

I love jewelry for the fact that it is an extension of my love for art. I especially love pieces that have strong, solid form and read as sculpture. I look for pieces that have a sense of monumentality about them, as if they could be 20 ft tall or one inch tall.  I especially love the stores, www.galleryloupe.com in Montclair, NJ and  www.aaronfaber.com right across the street from the MOMA.
The art in our homes remains a secret to most of our friends and acquaintances. Jewelry is one way that we can express ourselves and share art with the world around us.

  • Yvonne

I love beading because it offers endless ways to express my creativity.  I also feel joy when I give a handmade gift.

  • Vicki

Wow, what a great selection of books! Someone will be very happy this year!

  • Glenda Bollivar

WOW!! This is SUCH a generous prize! Not only would they make great reference books, but beautiful coffee table books. I love to make jewelry with components that are repurposed. Also, I love to take jewelry that someone has, that once belonged to a cherished family member, and give it a modern twist. The look on the customer’s face is what makes me so proud of what I am able to do.
                      Happy Holidays

                                 Glenda B

I’ve always been a jewelry ‘ho, and have a MIL who’s crafty to the nth degree. I got tired of not being able to share that with her, so this past summer, I picked up a basic jewelry kit at Michael’s and promptly got addicted. I’ve been taking classes and learning ever since, then sharing it with my daughter who got her crafty nature from her grandmother, lol. Would love to have more resources. :)

  • Jturner295

I love the entire process of creating a special look with the jewelry I make from browsing through books finding the perfect pattern, to choosing the beads. I love to handle the beads for their sparkling beauty and varied textures. Following a pattern my fingers feel a rhythm to each piece as it unfolds into a work of art and allows my soul refreshment from the creative process.

  • Jackie Stults

I get a double kick out of making jewelry…first its the creative drive and the inspiration that I can make come to reality in a piece of jewelry and then its the reaction I get from the people that the jewelry speaks to….the point when they say “Thats mine” and draw in a breath…you know you have done well. I like making jewelry more than wearing it.

To me, making jewelry not only gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride, but when I give away something I’ve made it gives to that person a tiny piece of me. I will have shared with them some of my personality and creativity, and perhaps on that particular day, some of my attitude. For me, just knowing that person will wear it, and share a little bit of “me” with others, is a gift beyond words.

  • Ldarmes

  • Jane Marley

Wow, what a collection !!! I started making jewllery back in February 2010 after a spell in hospital. I was bored and decided to pop to a craft store, I saw some acrylic beads and after buying them I made some jewellery sets and donated them to the Macmillan Cancer charity. By the time I had finished the sets I was hooked. I set about learning different techniques and materials and that’s what I love about jewellery making, exploring different materials and techniques which allows me to build up a totally eclectic and unique collection of jewellery. Since my acrylic bead days I have learnt wirework, bead weaving, macrame, polymer clay, gemstone and silver and bead stringing, next for me is lampworking, precious metal clay and silversmithing and anything else I can find.

Awesome. I am a 100% disabled Marine. I started doing lapidary because it kept my hands and mind busy… I have always had an interest in geology and this hobby was a natural progression. To take a hunk of rough stone and shape and polish it into something beautiful to wear is a very very old creative process. I am always learning new techniques and want to learn silver smithing next. I give much of what I make to friends and family and it is always rewarding to hear folks say how pretty a necklace or bracelet is !

I love jewelry making because it allows me to mess with colors and textures, throws in the consideration of making it practical, and you can do some pretty amazing things with jewelry. I love to wear jewelry because it allows me such customization of what I express to the people who see me. These would make a world of difference in my jewerly making- here’s hoping!

That is an amazing compilation of books.  What a wonderful giveaway.  I always love to try something new when making jewelry and any one of those books would be a treasure trove of ideas.

  • http://seamusings.blog.com/ CMD

I’m a new student of metal smith jewelry, so I’ve just begun my journey into the (amazing) world of jewelry blogs.  I recognize some of these books from my professors stash, but I don’t own any of my own as yet.  The titles alone have set my fingers tingling to get started making something lol.  I’ve always been fascinated by hand made jewelry which is why I added this class to my art education, though oddly I don’t wear much myself.  I’m thoroughly enjoying the textures & designs I’m learning to create, and just the feeling of creating a wearable piece of art is exciting for me.  I just finished my first self designed piece – a steampunk bracelet.  Though I had problems with the rivets and many other things and it took 2 months to complete, every class was a new adventure for me.

Thanks so much for this amazing opportunity!!

  • J9ohagan

  • http://beclever.wordpress.com/ Bek

I love Lark Books!  They are such a treasure and such a treat! Not only do they highlight some amazing artists and their art, but they always inspire.  My favorite thing about making jewelry is coming up with a somewhat vague idea and then putting it together, using my brain and body to, in some cases, reinvent the wheel, but organically learning new-to-me techniques gives me such a triumphant feeling.  My favorite part about my finished jewelry is sending it out into the world where hopefully it brings light to the spirit of the person who is wearing it, even if that’s 1/100 as much light as the process brings to my heart and soul, that’s still enough to light up an average city!

  • April Abate-Adams

What a FABULOUS prize!! I have several Lark books in my library, but only one that’s in this entire bundle. What I enjoy most about beadwork, jewelry creation, and wearing my handmade pieces, is the gratification it gives me to know that I crafted the pieces with my own hands. I feel great wearing my beadwork because I wear what appeals to me most and it’s the perfect size! Beading relaxes me. It’s my “me” time, and I really look forward to it. I’m always working on a project, and I start thinking ahead about which project I”ll tackle next. I’ve explored a variety of mediums in beadwork & jewelry-making… wire wrapping, fusing, resin, riveting, macrame, weaving, embroidery. There is a big, big world out there in the land of handmade jewelry and beads, and I’m having a most enjoyable time on my beading journey =) Thanks for such a cool give-away, good luck to all the participants, and Happy Holidays!!

  • Jane

What a great selection of books.  Wow there are even a few that I do not own!!

  • Moon2bead

I’d love to win this set of books–I see many which I would use and others that I have friends who would like them so I would give these to them.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Brianna-Hull/1481905519 Brianna Hull

this is so cool! I love making jewelry because I love working with my hands and seeing that one person who’s face says “now I know what I was looking for, and that’s it! Love it!” Finding just that one happy person is a wonderful feeling :) I just love making this wearable form of art. Self taught though, would love some books to help me where I am catching  :) good luck to all who comment and enjoy these wonderful looking books who ever does win! Happy Holidays!

  • Cathie_schultze

I would be so excited to win these books, Lark has published some of the most beautiful books.   They are well written and the photographs are outstanding.  I have been beading for numerous years and enjoy looking at all the beautiful things other people have designed.

  • Anonymous

Very cool give away, quite the library for someone looking to expand their skills. Like me. :) Good luck to everyone out there and happy beading.

  • Jacquelyn Caldwell-Guerrero

Oh wow this would be great! I would enjoy these books do much! As far as what I like best about making or wearing jewelry, with a house filled with males with the exception of my daughter it is the one thing I have to myself. Or even brief periods of sharing with my four year old girl. It makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and that I succeed at something web I finish a piece especially when someone says they like what I did. I also like making pieces from my grandmas old jewelry as a part of her is with me when I wear it. The others that I will give out have found a new life. It makes me feel good.

  • http://twitter.com/scoopace66224 christine cahalan

I like making my own jewelry because it’s fun to wear and share something unique.

  • Tanya Murphy

aside from the fun of wearing something (or gifting) unique, i adore the outlet creating jewelry gives me! :)

  • Dreamon64

She who dies with the most bead books wins! I love making beaded jewellery, and anything beaded for that matter, as I find it both rewarding and relaxing. I like being able to make a piece to go with a particular item of clothing or for a particular occassion too.

  • http://artofthefirebird.com artofthefirebird

I love making jewelry because I like wearing one-of-a-kind pieces rather than the same thing that everyone else has on. I often will pick what I want to wear for the day to emphasize or enhance today’s mood or attitude.

  • Yanamom

This would be an AWESOME prize to win.  I love making gifts for others.  When they know you have made them something, they know you put a lot of thought and effort into the gift, unlike just walking into Wally Word and picking up the first thing you see that you think they MIGHT like…

  • Trudi

What an incredible give-away! I love the opportunity to express my creativity in making jewelry, and the chance to use mixed media is exciting!

  • http://www.libeado.blogspot.com Gretchen Coats

I would LOVE to win this!  I guess the thing I like most about making jewelry is that it relaxs me.  You can do just about anything, if you try!  And I like to make necklaces best because it is a perfect showcase for a piece of jewelry to be worn on the neck for everyone to see.

  • Kerry Collett

What a great collection of books! Pick me! Pick me! :)

  • Kim Hil

Wow!  I luv jewelry books!  Even though I have….ahemmm…”many”..I don’t have them ALL!  And I know plenty of people to giveaway any dup copies to!  Jewelry making is great because it is a way to express your self creatively or help people express themselves in wearable art.  Jewelry is a small canvas that reflects the inner soul and a way for everyone to feel or be creative in making it or displaying it!
    Kim Hil (cre8ivespace@yahoo.com)

Hi, Lark! I came across this contest while searching out how to fabricate metal jewelry.  I have been making beaded jewelry since I was a child, but because I let life get the better of me, I stopped for 15 years. I am now living my life the way I always should have, making the right healthy choices for myself- and Jewelry Making brings me peace during those times of struggle.  I would LOVE the opportunity to expand my jewelry making horizons. Thanks, Lark, for your consideration.

  • Jeannie Brimacomb

    Hi there,

I have done some wire working and love it and when I saw seed bead jewellery, I really thought that I wouldn’t like it to do it. I don’t know what attracted me to start something, but I did. I then bought Maria DeCoster’s book and had never done R angle weave and I actually made the fabulous square ring and it looks great! Am on my third now ;) Always love to try new things. Thanks for the contest.

  • Lois

Amazing!  I love making jewelry and this giveaway would be a great addition to my library with a few books to give to my friends.

  • sunottin

How many times has my mood been set by the jewellery I choose for the day, the evening, the event?  It is forgiving – have I gained or lost weight, my jewellery doesn’t care – I can feel good about myself, raise my mood, have a great conversation starter for those times when I’m feeling less than confident.  I love wering jewellery, for the way it makes me feel but also for how it tends to open the lines of communication with other people no matter where I go!

  • Lisa W.

Oh wow how I would love to win these books !  I make jewelry and love to look at how others make it and learn from this.  I know some of my friends have their jewelry in those lark books and I would love to see that too.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1574082399 Sandra Bowers Main

THESE ARE VERY INTERESTING BOOKS. I WANT TO LEARN TO COMBINE OLD JEWELRY PIECES WITH NEW.

  • Valerie M

Oh my! What a delicious pile of books! I want them!! :)
I love making jewellery for other people more than for myself, because I like to think of the person I’m making for, which informs the piece I’m making, and it’s nice to make something I think they’d like, rather something I’d wear myself. It also lets me use colors I wouldn’t normally use! The jewellery I wear has all been given to me by other people! And each one has a story. That’s what I love most about wearing jewellery. Being a little different and talking to people who ask about where I got it from! :)

  • http://www.crewelwhorled.etsy.com Kara

You know, last night I went out and I wasn’t feeling that great about it, so I put on a pair of enamel and wire earring that one friend had made and a PMC bracelet that another friend had made, and one of my own necklaces. Instant attitude makeover–not only did I look a lot more interesting, but I had my friends along with me–at least in the abstract–reminding me that they think I’m fabulous. That’s what I like about wearing (and making) artisan-made jewlery. You carry the maker along with you when you wear it.

Amazing give-away and treasure chest of the finest Jeweler books available.  When I am in my studio the world recesses to another place, time passes without awareness, and a peaceful joy encapsulates my spirit.  It is in this peace I create jewelry and all else that inspires my muse.  It is as if one technique or creation leads to another, until the pangs of hunger pull me out of tranquility and into the kitchen.  Thank you Larkcrafts for the opportunity to expand my library of creation.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4I6VAUQT7E5HVPDBROIGLM7ZSE Aaron

I make a lot of custom wedding rings and it is seeing the joy on my clients faces when they pick up their rings that really is exciting for me!  I also love exploring wood as my newest medium.  All those patterns and colors – it’s such a visual feast compared to just gold/platinum/diamonds!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1361408827 Di Russell-Horn

What a fabulous collection of jewelry books!~!~  I swear by some of them.  I am addicted to designing and making jewelry and have been for many years.  Ever since I realized that jewelry didn’t have to be all beads and “pretty”.  I used found objects, findings and parts from vintage and just plain old jewelry. I combine everything to make the style uniquely my own.  My favorite places to shop?  Estate sales, flea markets, garage sales and parking lots (for run over bottle caps and lottery tickets!).  Thanks for publishing such versitile books for jewelry makers.

  • Rebecca

What a wonderful give-away.  I love to try all new ways of making jewerly.  My favorite is still the beadwork – though I am sure if i had the space it would be metal working!  Too many wonderful things to decide.  Ill keep my fingers crossed

  • Linnplous

Wow!  who wouldn’t want to win this?

  • Lindsey

The thing I like best about making jewelry for my close friends and loved ones is this:  those close to me know how much time and thought goes into my jewelry making.  When they receive a gift of jewelry from me they know that I think they are someone really special because I have created something just for them.  They truly appreciate it and wear it with pride.

  • Bàrbara Albareda

    Hi! that’s amazing!

It’s just what I love to do! • Teri Baskett

My favorite part of making new jewelry is when I have learned a new technique or design method, or when I have figured out something I wanted to do and had problems getting to work.  Other fun times are when I’ve completed a design that is a bit unusual, like a design challenge that focuses on the a connector (toggle or clasp) as a main component.

I love to collect how-tos and design ideas, not to explicity copy anyone else’s work, but for inspiration.

This is a fantastic give-away, thank you for the opportunity.

  • Sylpoff

I have been making handcrafted jewelry for a bit over 20 years now and need to do a little something every day to keep my muse with me.  While I have taken a few (very few) classes, carefully chosen, nearly every thing I know has come from books, many of them published by Lark, including Creative Silver Chains, Making Metal Beads, Wrap,Stitch, Fold and Rivet,  These very books have taught and enabled me to progress from simple wire work to metal work to combine with my lamp work beads.  This is an awesome library and any one who wins this will be very lucky indeed.

  • Drfernandez

I would love to win these books so I could learn a few more new tricks.

  • kitblu

Oh my … I’m drooling. Really glad you didn’t want a comment regarding book most wanted! I admired a woman’s necklace which was the symbol for Venus but with an extra bar to make an equal sign. Years later I met a woman who made silver jewellery. I asked her to make me one. I wanted it a bit different – the circle to be a Mobius strip. She couldn’t do that but she did make the circle non-symmetrical. I love to wear “custom” designs. I also have a broach made to look like a spider (one of my favourite animals).

  • Usairdoll

What a great selection of books! I’d love to be able to share some with my sister. Both of us have been making jewelery for many years now. It’s so nice to be creative and show alittle bit of myself in everything I create.

My thirst for knowledge when it comes to jewelry making is never quenched.I love books and I love creating jewelry pieces.I have gone through my rather small collection over and over the pages are dog eared in so many places.I would count my self incredibly lucky to win such a collection of informative books as those in your giveaway!

  • Sue D

So many techniques,so much inspiration and so little time!!  I could try so many new things with these fabulous LARK books and the ones I already have I could pass to others in my bead group.  Even if I don’t win, it’s given me some ideas for new things to try

  • CocoNuts

I love making jewelry because it is such a great way to show my individuality, creativity, and personal sense of style!  My personality shows through whether I wear pearls with a business suit or wear a piece I made of “found objects” painted to be in the same color scheme with a jean jacket…a piece of my quirky personality shows through! I am so inspired by jewelry, and it is such a versatile and quick (mostly) project to do. Thanks for making me think for this!!!

  • Cheryl Bannon

Beading is therapy for me- not any cheaper however- I am now starting my book collection so this would be awesome. I love the lark books- they are top of the line and get the best artists.

  • Laurapistone

Thanks Lark. I am a relatively new beader which has led me to many books and a lot have been from Lark. Beautifully photographed and informative.

  • Candace

About a year ago, I took my first lesson in  lampworking and making beads.  I have created many beads this past year, but have not figured out what to do with them.  Your books look like just what I need to turn these beautiful beads into works of art.  Thank you Lark for a wonderful giveaway!

  • Myers_barb

Love your books they always have a lot of good info. This would be like winning a gold mine.

  • Glenda Huffstickler

I love beading because it is very rewarding.  I get lost in what I am doing and it is a wonderful feeling.  A great stress release!!!

  • Debe

Beading allows me to express myself creatively. I also find it very meditative. Not to mention the beautiful treasures I get to wear & share with loved ones.

  • Kathryn Duckett

I love the Lark Books and have many in my collection!

  • Mommaia

Oh, my, after looking at these delicious books, I know what I’ll be dreaming about tonight!  I’ve been a little (ok, a LOT!) obsessed with making stuff, since I was about three years old.  Beading, making jewelry, beadweaving, etc. made my radar about ten years ago, and I absolutely love it!  I love the visual aesthetics, the colors, the textures, the shine, the precision, and the process.  I especially love the big smiles and hugs I get when I give a handmade beaded treasure!  Thanks, Lark, my fingers are crossed for this great giveaway!

  • Debbie M

What a treasure! I really like the dressiness of shiny gold jewelry. I enjoy complimenting other people on their jewelry.

  • Brenda

Wow…..what an amazing group of books……they would be put to good use in my collection!!!

  • Karey Westfall

That is quite a collection of books! I love making beaded things for other people and jewelry for myself!

  • AdeleRecklies

Aside from the obvious joy of making something beautiful, I enjoy making jewelry for the surprise of the finished product.  You start with an idea but as you progress, the beads may have a different idea that make the process interesting.

  • Donna Meyer

This set would expand my horizons as a jewelry artist SO greatly! I began with bead stringing, then moved on to silversmithing, which I love. I love hammering, forging, folding. I even love soldering (except when I melt things!) I want to learn, learn, learn all I can about making jewelry. Pick me! Pick me!

  • MeanJean

I like to make jewlery because I like to craft and create. I like to wear it because I like to feel pretty in my bling. Lol

  • Ggirgenti

    Wow what a super giveaway!

When I was 10 (we won’t do the math!), my dad bought me a rock tumbler that included jewelry findings to use with the polished rocks.  Dad was an engineer and would bring home rock samples from the field.  I simply loved it and have continued making jewelry ever since, thanks to the encouragement of my wonderful father.  I am now retired and can spend more time making jewelry and have discovered the very best part of it, the most rewarding part … being able to share this knowledge with my grandchildren.   It would be so much fun to go through all these wonderful books with them to learn even more projects to share!
    Thank you and Happy Holidays!

  • Cindy Raymond

Oh!   The wonder of it all . . .  I inhale books, especially books on the subject of beading and jewelry.  My husband has put a hold on buying more so I have to find them some other way.  And along comes your second give-away!  Please, save me!  I am desperate!!  Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Creativeflowjewels

This would be a wonderful present to myself and my fellow jewelry makers that I would share it with.  I have always loved to accessorize; I realized my true love for it a couple of months ago when I began making my own pieces that are now being purchased by others.  I love that I am able to pour my creativity into each piece and that a part of me is apart of whoever is wearing it.

  • Dorrie

I love beadwork. it started as a hobby after I lost my job from an accident I had there. I crocheted, but wanted something more and I was searching the web and hit upon bead crochet, which i did a bit of, but then I found Bead and Button magazine and a bead addict was born. These books would be a great help to me as I try to design, but have a hard time.. Please let me be the winner fo this library!

  • Debi Madden

I would love to win the Lark books so that I can start my own real collection of beading and jewelry books. Jewelry making is such an addictive and seductive craft. It opens up your inhibitions and forces you to share the creativity you harbor in your soul. I love to browse over and over the photos in books to help guide me to making the right piece. This a fabulous opportunity, thanks for doing it!

  • http://www.k1n2.com Susan

Beadweaving and Bead Embroidery are my favorites but I also love to explore other media and designs in books and magazines. The greatest gift is your time and talent to share with someone else.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Patti.Cranford.Jones Patti Cranford Jones

this is a wonderful giveaway for a lucky person !!!

  • Bobi White

Creating jewelry has been described as meditative. I completely agree! When I wear a piece I’ve created, it’s like a little burst of calm to carry me until I can create again. This is such a fabulous collection of books. A small group of gals locally were just talking about starting a craft group and jewelry was the #1 item everyone agreed would be fun to learn. These would be a fantastic way to get our group inspired.

  • Housemank

Hi. I’ve just been told about this website and, wow, it’s wonderful. Even better as you have a give away for wonderful books.
I really enjoy making beaded jewellery as you can make something unique and in the colour and style you want. Ideal when you have an outfit you wish to co-ordinate. They also make lovely gifts. Recipients appreciate the fact that they have been personally made for them and I have an outlet for my creative nature.

Now for browsing the rest of this site.

  • Jgentry513

I love, love new books!!! You can never have too many beading books. There is always something new to explorer. A new medium, new designs and they always inspire me to try something new and out of my box. Just love it. Thanks, Lark.

  • Amy B.

    Wow! Another great giveaway!
What I enjoy most about making jewelry is the quiet relaxation it brings.

  • Linda Heinzman

Boy, do I like these kind of giveaways! I am a creative person and am only a beginner in beading. I really like working with stainless steel wire and glass beads. My creative juices start flowing the moment I find something no matter where I find an object. I find them everywhere. (when I go walking, traveling in the car or just browsing a store.) You just never know where you will find that particular found object. I am always thinking or looking for that unusual object to incorporate in my jewelry. I sure hope I win these books cause they would really get me into the spirit to create even more. Thanks for letting me create and create some more.

  • Ellen

What a wonderful idea! The Lark books are always so beautifully produced, and really make us all want to create the projects! I love to make jewelry because I love the seed beads. The sense of accomplishment is wonderful, the joy of sharing beady ideas is great, but most of all, I just love those beads!

  • Sharlotte

I love starting with some pretty beads to make something greater than the sum of its parts.  It’s also wonderful to give jewelry as gifts; my friends and family really appreciate the time and effort that goes into each piece.

  • Samandsha

What a great bundle.  WOW…how generous and in the spirit of the Holiday Season ;-D  I’d love to be considered in the drawing.  Samma   (samandsha@aol.com)

  • JD Betts

Love ALL your books; I’m a glutton when it comes to trying something new!  I trained as a silversmith and moved into precious metal clay (make and teach); also love to work with wire, mosaics, resin, beads, glass, and more.  Thank you Lark Books for all the instruction I’ve gained over the years!

  • Charlotte Dykes

Wearing jewelry makes a girl feel beautiful and special.

  • Paula McDowell

I have several of the books already, but I could complete my collection AND start the collection of several other friends.  I love the books – great how-tos as well as inspiration.  When I get stuck (in my head of course), I randomly pull out a LARK book to consult.  A few minutes later….off I go to the studio.

  • Amy Tavern

Wow! What a Giveaway! What do I love most about making jewelry…how about, why do I make jewelry? I make jewelry because I am drawn to the materials and techniques of the craft and because of its small scale yet sculptural possibilities. I am also interested in jewelry because it is universal–we all have jewelry that is important to us in some way and we can all relate to its significance in our lives, despite our cultural or economic backgrounds. Jewelry is also a way for us to express our individuality and I find that fascinating.

  • Beadtherapytogo

What a great selection of books!

  • http://www.facebook.com/insilyoon Tonya Ferraro

I like that jewelry isn’t just jewelry.  It can be sculpture, a statement, a memento, a souvenir…something utilitarian.  It’s not “just” jewelry.

  • Kathleen Brown

This by far is the one best give away I have seen this year…. Books. Oh what I would live to ha e a few books. I just started to begin making jewelry and oh what a peaceful and relaxing art it is. I love it so much. I am thankful for my beads they ate one reason I don’t go crazy theough out the day. But to get a bunch of books to help me and help me build my skills on my jewelry making. I am a mom of a 17 month old and books don’t come cheap. Especially when it is between my daughter and myself. I can’t justify paying a 20 bucks on a book for my self cause I feel bad. So this would be so awesome to win.plrase pick me…. Kathleen Brown of Calgary,ab

  • Michele Antrobus

I love making things with my hands. I love the creativity and the push it gives you to think outside your own box. Makes me look at the world in a new way every time I’m shown another way to see something and make something out of it. Where you would look at the world and think something was trash or junk, or see no beauty in it, after having your eyes opened by other artists you realize the beauty and chance to show others the beauty in things that otherwise they too.  I believe it opens the world up for not only me, but for others that see each creation made from common or otherwise what was though useless or trash. Creativity opens up the world not just for me but for others that see each creation an artist creates.
AND WOW! These would be GREAT to have and such a wonderful chance you have given us to win them!

  • Skrhoadesdesign

Great giveaway! I would love to win!

  • MaggiesFarm

What a very generous giveaway! Oh the new projects and techniques one could learn with this pile of books. I am a beader at heart and a jewelry maker by trade…I tend to make way more than I wear and I also tend to wear the same thing over and over…but I love learning new ways to create!

  • Anke

I like to make one of a kind jewelry, because it allows people to adorn themselves with a piece of portable art.  In a world full of visually sterile objects I like to provide a glimpse of the unexpected.  Also, there’s nothing like the sense of accomplishment I experience when I finish a piece.  But that’s just the icing on the cake.

  • http://www.facebook.com/annika.kedelauk Annika Kedelauk

I’d love to get thousands of pages of new inspiration! Jewellery is something that lasts!

  • Anonymous

These books would make a wonderful addition to the lending library of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths.  We welcome all skill levels that do any form of jewelry or metal working.   We offer classes throughout the state of Florida and in N. Carolina as well.

  • Nieves Pumarejo

Thanks for this great give-away! My love for jewelry (wear it and make it) start a long time ago when I was child I used to put the necklaces of my aunt and grandmother. Jewelry is an essential part of the human being, not only for decoration but for the spiritual and ritual issues and statements. Is magic how we can transform any material in a beautiful piece of art to wear it. That piece have our essence and our love.

  • judi

One of the things I like best about making jewelry – beadweaving mostly in my case – is the look on someone’s face when you present them with a beautiful piece.

  • Ellen

the 500 series is my favorite collection.  I can sit & “read” the pictures without falling asleep like I do words…and I gain 200% more inspiration!  I enjoy making jewelry out of instrument keys.  (please see my line at http://www.flutejewelry.com).  This started when I couldn’t practice as long as I wanted to, due to wrist pain. Now I’m as happy as can be making music & jewelry, teaching how to play the flute & making those special commission pieces.

Ooo, this is exciting!  I handcraft one of a kind jewelry to satiate an inner drive to create specific designs that I envision.  It’s not a hobby, nor is it optional; it’s a key factor to my sanity and balance in my everyday, and it’s icing on the cake that others love what I’ve created enough to pay me for it! Life is good :)

  • Kelly Robinson

I have been a metalsmith for 12 years and Lark book have always been there to guide and inspire me, thank you Lark!

The best part of making jewelry is seeing the look in the customer’s eyes when you hand them their custom made piece and they see it for the first time.

  • Kari Rinn

I think the inspiration and publicity Lark offers to the world of crafts is amazing!  Thank you for making crafts more visible and for connecting curious people with amazing work.

  • http://www.suzannegolden.com Suzannegolden26

These books would be an incredible addition to my forever growing library of books. And it doesn’t
get any better then a “collection of Lark Books.”  Especially since the books are a great representation of all the different crafts available and outside my field of beading books. Are you listening Santa????

  • Betty McKim

I like the thought of Jewelry pieces having huge Value for the wearer more because of a relationship and feeling towards that piece than the actual value of the materials.

  • http://www.artelledesigns.com Stuart J

    I love making jewelry because of the emotional connection formed with my client. To experience the emotion when they put on something I imagined and created is better than any drug, and highly addictive :}

  • Jodie

Would love to add these books to the library at the Appalachian Center for Craft :)

  • Natalie Knott

What a mouth watering giveaway … so generous.  Being a jewelry designer and maker brings peace and joy to my life in this ragged and often sad world.  It is also a way of sharing my creativity with others who wear my jewelry.

  • Lovejanejewelry

I can honestly say that I have self taught myself to make many types of jewelry by using your books. I don’t have all of them and just looking at this lineup makes me wishful! Lark literally has the only book on leather jewelry that I could find anywhere! Making jewelry is what I do. When I realized that I could change the shape of metal it was if I had won the keys to the kingdom! Playing with fire. . . even better.
Everyday is different when you make jewelry. It does not hurt that you always have a gift on hand for a friend or hostess or a donation to charity. There is nothing but good here!

  • Anonymous

Nice collection. Would make great additions to our college shop library.

  • Anonymous

    Wow! Just Wow! SO generous!
I love making beads, it makes me happy, and I love it when other people like my beads. I’m self taught, there’s a few books that I treasure, because they helped me to make sense of what I was doing/learning. And I would LOVE to win these books!

Your books have given me inspiration, insight, and a continued enthusiasm about making jewelry.  I have spent hours pouring over the pages, and even more hours crafting my own pieces after finding a ring or necklace that has sparked my creativity.

Making jewelry is what really makes me happy.  It took me a long time to find that out, your books have helped me along that journey.

Metalsmithing is an ideology, a way of making, a means of passing on knowledge, and I’m interested in the state of union of its components.

  • casy.catalano

What a great giveaway.  I have been doing wirework and a little polymer clay (learned all from books).  I just learned beadweaving this July – and am absolutely hooked.  I wear and also give away the items I make.  I love the ability to be creative and make an item “your own” and I believe receiving gifts that are handmade are worth far more than an store bought item.  Thank you for the opportunity.

  • Laura Brubaker

I love making jewelry because I can wear what I make and see people react to it!  Love your books and have learned so much over the years from them!

  • Paperpeg

It would be nice to share these with other artists who appreciate the art of jewelry making.

Fabulous giveaway. What better than to have an entire collection housed in the metals studios for my students to use in their research.

I am a retired luthier’s daughter so it’s somewhat natural that I love to create.  I’ve been making jewelry for several years now, primarily wire wrapping and beadweaving. I stumbled across one of your books in a local craft store and found it to be extremely helpful as I continue to grow and explore other mediums and materials.  What a wonderful array of books in this offer!   I especially love the wood and metal clay books.  Dad would be proud!

  • Susan

This collection of Lark books indulges my sense of curiosity about materials, how they inspire people to make creative and clever jewlery and how the authors have shared their ideas and expertise.

What’s not to love about making jewelry?  It’s creative and mind stretching.  I love learning new skills and expanding how I can make things.  It’s a tie to shared history of adornment when the first person stuck a flower behind an ear and later made a flower out of other materials and stuck it onto clothing.  We feel nice wearing it, nicer if we sell something, and nicer still when someone gets or is given a piece and they tell you how much they love it.  Awesome.

  • Izzy

I love making and wearing jewelry, because this is where my passion rests. Every time I make jewelry, I love the challenge fact because I have visualized the piece in my mind before execution even though the piece might develop into an slightly different piece, but always for the better. To have your visions materialize is a beautiful event.
When wearing jewelry, my own or other people’s, I am very sensitive to the energy of the piece, as if I was having a chat with somebody I’ve just met to get to know him/her better. Wearing a piece of jewelry definitely adds to day, and my persona….

My favorite author for business advice is Simon Sinek who wrote: Start With Why.  He basically observes that all businesses know what they do/make, some of them know how they do it, but very few know WHY.  I have been a jewelry designer/maker for 37 years.  My WHY:  I believe strongly in the positive role artists play in society.  I believe in the importance of bringing beauty into the world.

I love so many things about making jewelry from the materials to the tools. What I love about making jewelry most at the moment is it’s therapeutic value. Working with survivors of human trafficking and slavery in India, I’ve seen our jewelry programs transform the lives of these young woman for the better in so many ways. There are so many implications for their future lives, but in the present, I watch them ‘smith calmly and get to that “zen” place where making what is in your mind comes to fruition. It’s a beautiful process, with beautiful results and we ALL are forever changed. Needless to say we all love wearing it! : )

Beading is my hobby and my passion! I am self-taught and started making jewelry about 4 years ago for myself and as gifts for friends and family. I love collecting crystals, gemstones and rocks. My main reason for making jewelry and wearing it was so I could wear my crystals. I love their healing energies. :)

  • Denise Oros

The muse in my hands flies when gold and diamonds in piles on my bench lay quietly, the diamonds and gemstones “whisper” how they will fit best. The gold/silver/platinum cascade like ocean waves, engulfing their subjects in perfect fluid harmony, My nimble fingers incorporate the latest idea, trend or glorious Tucson find- from texture to accents….jewelry lets my soul sing through my hands. It is my passion, my never ending quest to be intoxicated by the next OMG! WoW, beautiful piece. My fingerprints are on everything because I never know from where, who or what the next moment of unique inspiration will be born. But the best is to see a well worn piece come back in my door, it is a child I birthed coming home to MOM ~ Learn everyday, try, then try harder because if you don’t do it right the first time…..when will you have time to do it over? Yep, I like perfectDenise Oros

I had a jewelry business for a couple of years, and I still enjoy getting my creative juices flowing by making jewelry for fun. Just yesterday I made a bracelet and a sweater chain, after having been inspired at a craft show. I have used several of your books for inspiration for previous pieces, as well. I particularly like wire jewelry and simple and colorful pieces from vintage glass. • Lori

I started making jewelry about 10 years ago for my niece when she wanted a cat’s eye bracelet on e…….you know…and her mother could not afford it.  I thought that it would be pretty easy to make.  I can’t wear jewelry except some rings and a watch as long as i take it off after about 4-5 hours.  Needless to say, i loved doing this!  I never really got into jewelry before because i couldn’t wear it, but did lots of other crafts.  Once i made this for my niece she of course wanted more, and then her brother wanted something so that is how i got started.   Wow, how things have changed since then!  This has become my niche, i love to make this stuff even though i can’t wear it.

Wow, what a treasure trove!!!  I’d love to have this library!

I’m entirely self taught and they would be invaluable.  Jewelry, to me, is an artform.  Each piece I metalsmith is, in my mind, a tiny sculpture.  Hand crafted jewelry has such meaning!  It’s not like mass-produced items you find in stores.  When I’m crafting, I imagine myself in an old world shop, carrying on traditions passed down with time, using traditional tools and methods.

Beadwork, to me, is like reviving a lost artform.  It’s becoming more and more popular among adults, but we need to teach our children to carry on the tradition.

I love jewelry and always have. I own the Elizabeth Taylor “My Love Affair with Jewelry” coffee table book and I get lost in it whenever I have the time.  Women, beauty and interesting and beautiful  jewelry should be synonymous.  Correctly choosing and wearing jewelry will enhance someone’s appearance and this has been true since ancient times. Think Cleopatra of the Nile and the Pharaohs. I leave the crafting of jewelry to others but have always been curious if I would have a knack.  What a great world to get lost in and who doesn’t need an escape!  Thank you for the opportunity to be in the running for this great collection of books.  An unbelievable win!

  • carol coates

My first jewelry making experience was with Bob Engstrom in Michigan.  I did graduate work in metals there and in Mexico and taught jewelry making for 30 years. As time passed, I petitioned libraries to buy many of these books which I couldn’t afford to buy at the time.  Many, I had to read in bookstores.  My hunger for information and inspiration was not a rare one.  Students lusted to have them on hand.
I’ve recently returned to work in a Community College.  Its library is badly in need of reference books as it’s in economically-challenged New Mexico.  I’d love to donate this set to their collection.
Of course, I’d have access to them as well, so I’m not being entirely unselfish.  New Mexico is a state that is filled with people (both Native and Otherwise) who are very interested in Fine Art and Crafts
and students who are strongly motivated to learn.

I personally love designing, making, wearing, showing, and gifting jewelry. I approach my fabrications using both fine and up-cycled metals and materials. I’m currently creating a new body of work approaching small metal and mixed media sculpture in the same manner; with content-driven narratives about human perception to be shown in three parts; “to see”, “to hear”, and “to touch”.

Making jewelry has given me an identity that I was subconsciously reaching toward even as a child.  There is something about the art of decorating one’s body that communicates one’s self where words might fail, and this is what I try to do when I make jewelry.  In addition, when I make a piece for someone else, I try to put some of what I see in that person into the piece.  To me, it is an intimate form of art, and that is why I love it.

I love really cool jewelry and I am teaching myself how to do it.  I get most of my books from the library.  Let’s just say they hate me there, I only have 108 checkouts right now.  But I like to try before I buy.  Anyway, rings are my favorite pieces of jewelry and I want to make them my way.  Please, I could really use these books for my own little library

My favorite part about wearing jewelry is how it accents the body and can draw the eye to areas that are normally overlooked. My favorite part about creating jewelry is the chance to create something beautiful and unique that uses the body as a canvas. This is a great group of books that would serve any metalsmith well.

No matter how many Jewelry classes you enroll in you will always need alot of books for reference material. The wonderful things about owning your own books from different artists is that they all have their own way of doing things which allows you to expand your knownledge of doing things in different ways. Sometimes you will be working on a creation and suddenly you think now how did I do that? If you own a reference library you just go search out the information, you don’t have to jump in the car and go to a library or search the net the information is right there at your fingertips.

  • donnamariehanna

Thank you for such a generous give away.  I have been lusting after several of these books!  What i enjoy most about being creative is taking raw materials and turning them into a work of art, or at the other end of the specrum, learning from my experiments.

  • RedCarouselLion

I use jewelry making as therapy from my high stressed job – I even sit at my desk and do bead work for 20 minutes during my lunch to relax and rejuvenate.

The pleasure that I derive is from many aspects.  I love the way that a design evolves as you work on it - materials, techniques, colors, etc.  I love the look of absolute pleasure on a recipient’s face when they realize that the piece was handmade just for them.  I love that others want me to teach them how to make something beautiful.  I love that I my learning is endless and I can always learn a new style or technique.  I love just taking my beads out and holding them and looking at them and imaging how wonderful they can be as a piece of jewelry or clothing accent or home decor touch.  I love that I can shut out the world when I’m making jewelry and just creatively relax.

How to sum it all up?? It’s about connections. I love wearing jewelery because most of the pieces I own have significance – heirlooms, special gifts from special people, or souvenirs from traveling. They keep special people, places and times close to me. I love making jewelry because ot coonects me to the people who buy my pieces – whether or not I actually know them. My work is something that just “happens”…I start to work and eventually I have a gorgeous creation in front of me…and I know that people have worn the pieces I’ve made on their wedding days, into the delivery room, on first dates, last hurrahs and everything in between. It’s humbling and stunning to me that pieces that sprang from my mind and my hands travel around the world and through life with the people who now own them. We are all connected…

What a brilliant and generous gesture. Making, for me,
engages so many aspects and interests, not least of which is its demand for
life long learning. That’s something these volumes have certainly helped along
in the field.  This would be a
great library to donate to a needful metals program.

  • Gina C.

What a fabulous resource this library of books would be to any lucky winner. Beading and jewelry making clearly enriches our  inner lives to such a degree that I for one can’t imagine NOT doing it, and from the comments here I’m not alone. For someone to wear a piece of my jewellery makes me so proud, knowing that they might appreciate the same beauty and proportion that I did but don’t know me at all. It’s like sneaking into someone’s garden and planting a beautiful, delicate flower.

  • http://Artsfarmstudio.RubyLane.com Artsfarm

Ah, I’m breathless just at the thought of owning these! I’m a jewelry-maker ‘and’ a book nut, so this is just awesome! I’ve been making jewelry since I was a wee one in the 70s (!), out of everything from feathers to chamois leather to crab claws picked up on the beach, to things found in the hardware aisle :o ). Now I’m using polymer, all kinds of beads and making assemblages from vintage bits, and am constantly looking for more inspiration. This collection will keep me locked in my room, totally absorbed for a long time and then endless marathons of jewelry-making bliss.

  • Collyn Wooden

Happy Holidays and everydays to the person who gains these books – my own side business could well become bigger and better than I can now imagine……..

I am hopelessly addicted to books! And books on jewelry and jewelry making are high up on my list. What do I like best about jewelry making…there is so much I love about making jewelry! I love the intimate scale of jewelry and the amount detail that can be achieved in a metal medium. There are an infinite number of techniques that can be explored in the jewelry craft, that one could spend a lifetime and not learn everything there is to know. That is what always keeps me so fascinated with this craft. There is always something fresh and exciting to learn.

What an awesome collection of books!!! I’m just getting started in jewelry making. These books would be an amazing resource for me and my crafty friends.

  • Oleksandra Sydorenko

These would be amazing gifts for the holidays! What could be better than books from Lark Crafts? I’m a beader, and I’m sure these are every bit (and more) inspirational on the inside as the covers look.

  • Rivkahjewelry

What a wonderful collection of books!!!!

  • Jennifer L

This is a great collection. I own some of them and in turn would donate or gift them out if I won.  Making jewelry was always a way to interact with other people to see their style come out. I love learning new ways to make things even if i’m bad at them. What a great idea.

Making art beads is my passion – it has been a very rewarding career path both creatively and socially.  The friends I have made during the last 6 years have been the bonus I would have never imagined possible.  I love books and I would love to win ALL OF THESE!!! It would make me a happier bead maker than I already am ;)

  • asimmons

WOW! I have a few of the books and love them.  To have all of these books would be a dream come true.  I love the creativity of making jewelry and the reactions of those looking at my pieces.

  • CC

Yes I would love these books! Pretty Please?

  • Jillian Pagnotti

This fun and exciting bundle of books would be perfect for me! I am currently a BFA student and my focus is in metalsmithing. I love being inspired by nature and the surrounding world. Creating beauty with my bare hands is what I do best. These books would really help broaden my horizons and help me learn some new tricks that I could add to my metalsmithing techniques. I think that my ability to create beautiful jewelry would grow from these books. I someday hope to get into SUNY New Paltz to achieve getting  my MFA in Metalsmithing and then to later become a Professor in teaching Fine Art Jewelry and Metalsmithing. These books would be traveling everywhere with me and I would be able to share them with whom ever crosses paths with me in the art world and also whom ever I end up teaching! Fingers are crossed!

  • Peggy Gerbo

What a great giveaway – thanks so much! What I like about my projects is how I might start with one idea, but as the piece is created, it lets ME know what it wants to be. My projects always turn out different – and better – by listening. Sometimes I’m amazed at the directions they take me – a lot of times leading me to do something I have never tried before. I love creating new things, it makes me feel happy and alive, and brings so much joy into my life. I would love these such inspirational books!

What I love about making jewelry is the thought that I was able to connect to someone in a way beyond conversation or selling techniques. The thought that someone carries my work, my imagination, my craft with them is transcendental to me. And making it… well, that’s pure joy! Thanks for this wonderful giveaway!

  • Kerianne Quick

Wearing jewelry is an invitation to those around you to engage. I show my interests
    And concerns through jewelry.

Wow! Instant jewelry library. I love the creative flow that is an integral part of making a piece of jewelry. Ideas just begin to occur as I start playing with particular beads and findings. Soon I’m rummaging for more bits and pieces. When at last it feels right, there’s great satisfaction.

thank you for this opportunity and happy holidays everyone!!!

  • Mags

I’m self taught and would love to load up my bookcases with these wonderful books. I work in polymer, but love experimenting with so many other materials and this would provide me with hours and hours of inspiration.

  • Notpam23

I am floored by such a generous giveaway!  I love to make jewelry among many other crafts, and  combining multiple crafts with jewelry is my favorite.  I have always been the type to look at something, especially something expensive, and say I can make that!  I get such satisfaction out of creating things, especially now that I’ve had to retire my nursing job because of Multiple Sclerosis.  But the bright side means that I can spend more time creating, not to mention time to give back by donating some of the proceeds to the M.S. society.  These books are fabulous, I love anything from Lark Books!  Having them in my library would greatly expand by abilities, and teach me new techniques.  Any double copies, and there would be a few, I can use as a “pay it forward’, and give as giveaways myself!
Thank you for the opportunity to win this wonderful selection of books.  Thank you for publishing such quality entertainment, because for me, that’s exactly what your books provide me….entertainment!  Now to cross my fingers and hope!!!!!

  • Jensmetals

I like creating jewelry that is unique. I enjoy making work that is unlike any commercial jewelry.

  • http://www.elisekendrot.com Elise Kendrot

I already use some of these books in my classroom.  Students enjoy the”how to” book formats of many of these books, which make the processes logical and approachable.  My favorites are The Penland Book of Jewelry and The New Jewelry; I utilize them for both explaining technique and for exposing students to various artistic aesthetics.

  • Jensmetals

I like making jewelry unlike anyone else’s and experimenting with different materials.

  • Dsweigart

What I like best about making wearable art is: unlike painters who hang their work in a gallery we are able to display our work everywhere.

  • Robert Dancik

One of my favorite characteristics of all these fabulous Lark books is that they are as inspired as they are inspiring.
If ever I sit at my bench and am confronted with the “blank canvas” syndrome – all I need do is to turn to any of the many Lark books I already have and it gets my creative juices flowing.

I don’t  have a lot of jewelry, but everything I have and wear connects me to a person or event in my life that lives in that piece and generates precious memories. Today I am wearing a necklace that belonged to my grandmother whom I never knew. I am a great grandmother and I am making jewelry for my family today that I hope will connect me to them far into the future, long after I am also only a memory.

  • Ellen

I enjoy the sharing created by wearing art jewelry.  It is a link to my personality and the spirit of the artist.

  • Jenshaline

This would make my year! What an awesome give away! Its a collection like no other!

  • Tonya Muller

Making jewelry “saved my life”.  I became disabled and had to stop working and slipped into a deep depression.  One day I picked up a simple jewelry making kit and after I finished it I was hooked. In the process of learning and practicing jewelry making some of my depression was lifted.  So I would love to win and continue my education.

  • Molly Groom Alter

I love being able to express myself in the pieces I make.  Basically any idea I have for a piece, requires a little more thought and planning to make it work.  I learn new things with each new design.  I believe that if you ever stop learning, you’re dead.
