What a wonderful chance. This book is one I would love to have myself but I am not making jewelry yet. I bought the tools and lots of the findings and some beads etc. but haven’t done much with it. My DIL however LOVES making jewelry. She’s made me a number of bracelets already. I just went through the look inside feature of this book on Amazon, I’m impressed with the visual step-by-step instructions, bravo. I normally make fine art jewelry, but have taught craft jewelry via mini courses for adults at the Student Union of a local University. On the front cover of the book I would really like to know how to make the copper wire piece that has the two pliers on it. And absolutely would like to know how to make those wire rings on the back cover. Thank you for putting together this book, it’s always good to see a well presented how to craft jewelry making book, it gives me inspiration on how better to right a lesson plan, project ideas, and to let my students know which books will help them further their skills and joy in creating very nice craft jewelry.

I started as a beader and said I would never do wire.  Hurt my hands too much, too hard to get things to look professional… on and on with excuses.  But ten years into my venture, I am loving wire.  I crochet beads with it.  I leave it exposed in many of my designs and now I am venturing into soldering. I started bead stringing 2-1/2 years ago. Six months ago, my sister and opened a small hand craft shop. Since then I have become bored with simple stringing. I have ventured into kumihimo, viking knit, and the newest, wire working. I enjoy the wide range of possibilities before me with wire working. I find myself trying a new technique almost every day. I love to make jewelry in the summer.  During the winter, I typically wear traditional pieces with sweaters and blazers. The summertime is when we go out to our favorite bistros and beaches. Clothing is casual and I enjoy making beaded jewelry to match each colorful outfit.

Tried lots of beading, but love playing with wire.

I don’t know why, but I prefer wire-wrapping to stringing; if I never have to use another crimp bead in my life, I’ll be happy. .

Beautiful book!!

Hi There , I would love to win a signed copy of Janice Berkebile and Tracy Stanley Wire & Beading book for all there inspiration and tricks.I love how wire & metal can take on a whole new life because someone wasn’t afraid to try something and see what they’d end up with.(heat ,chemical’s.solder ect) Myself on the other hand, I buy stuff just seem’s I don’t follow through with it trusting myself ! Sometime’s we just need the RIGHT INSPIRATION and that one you connect with.I do like there style & would enjoy there book !!! Good Luck All !!

What’s not to love about bending metal?!?  It gives me a sense of power and control, and there’s an escape to an adventure around every “bend”!  

 Love the work you all do. I love working with wire, am just getting started, trying to wrap pieces that different than others I see. Its been difficult but I’ll catch on.
