This looks like the perfect book for my home schooled, artist 12 year old! What a great idea putting together a guide. The framed image reminds me of a “Griffin and Sabine” post card. Love it!

I own three pieces of Randel’s art, including “omit 3″ which is featured in his book. I just gave a fourth piece away as a very well received birthday gift. I think his art is now my gift of choice for any occasion. The book ROCKS because the prompts are do-able and inspiring.

I love collaging and find the deceptive simplicity of Randel’s work always inspiring.  I think he is a master of the “less is more” approach to collaging.

My wife and I love Randel’s work. The book is equally great, and I’m hoping to win a copy that I can keep in the classroom for my students to read and use.

I started making mixed media pieces about a year ago and am still learning, don’t think that ever stops. I’m always looking for new techniques and this book looks like a winner.

I am a mixed media and collage artist, and I have enjoyed Randel’s work for several years.  I have purchased his calendars, and subscribe to his Collage-a-Day site posts.  I purchased, and absolutely LOVE, the book “Masters: Collage,” that he curated, in which he included such an amazingly wide range of artist’s collage styles, that I found it quite inspiring.  His new book, “The Collage Workbook,” sounds equally inspirational (as well as a bit more “hands-on.”).  I would love to win a copy!

I am a mixed media artist and love collage.  I would really like to use the collage workbook and learn how to stay inspired.

I will have this wonderful book one way or another!  But it sure would be nice to have the collage to go along with it!

Well, I pre-ordered Randal’s book on Amazon and was very pleased when it arrived. It would be nice to have another copy for the VISUAL JOURNALS Group that I belong to. I love the no-nonsense approach to his art and the very specific exercises he gives. It makes collage seem doable to even the novice, and motivated me to finally try printing images on tracing paper – which turned out well.

I’ve just started to make collages and this book looks like it would provide some great tips!  Thanks for the opportunity!

I’m an artist and have been doing collage for decades. I’m always looking for new techniques, and especially transfer techniques. I just tried out a neat technique I ran across on YouTube–print an image on the waxy side of an Avery or other label sheet (take the labels off first). Then put the image face down on paper and carefully rub it with the back of a spoon. Seems to work best with graphic images rather than photos, high contrast, and set your printer to high quality. 

My copy of the book should arrive tomorrow.  Totally new to collage since I saw an exhibit of Kurt Schwitter last summer.  Really enjoy Randall’s collages and look forward to learning more about this art-craft.  Good luck to the winner!  Looks like an amazing prize! 

I’ve done some collage, most on journal covers, or taking rough sketches I’ve done, shrinking them, and sticking them in to build a new image. I’d really like to learn more and to get your book!!

Ive been doing collages for a long while now, when i was younger my parents were so mad at me for doing my whole wall one giant collage. I started working as a librarian 3 years now, and every year i try to get a program going for kids to come in and collage, send flyers out to the art classes and such. not the greatest turn out sadly but one kid comes to everyone I start so that’s enough for me. Love your book gave me so many great new ideas with the art. Thank you.
